Faistenoy

Faistenoy is a lovely town in the alpine uplands at the heart of the Allgäu. Surrounded by green fields and at an altitude of 950m it is part of the municipality of Oy-Mittelberg in the Oberallgäu. Mentioned in a document in 1308 for the first time, Faistenoy kept its rural character. The typical brown cattles graze on the fields and the surrounding cheese dairies offer delicious cheese specialities. The lived traditions and the cordiality of the local people are typical for the region.

The central location allows you to reach the mountains of Oberstdorf and Tyrol, the castles of King Ludwig or the cities of Kempten, Füssen, Memmingen or Kaufbeuren - all within 30 minutes. But there's no need to go that far away - Faistenoy and the local area offer countless opportunities to spend your free time and to relax as well. Faistenoy has a playground and a barbecue area, there is a high ropes course at the lake Grüntensee and of course the lake itself, or you could go on a bike or hiking tour to one of the near alpine huts. In the winter there are a lot of cross country ski tracks, a ski lift in Faistenoy and a coasting slide, or maybe you are more interested in a romantic coach tour or in feeding wild animals. There are also a lots of possibilities to relax: Yoga, massages, wellness or a visit to the Primavera company will make you forget your everyday stress easily.

Activities, relaxing, fun or culture – a stay at Faistenoy offers all of them.
